Collection N1 is a series of textile works and garments developed through an experimental weaving process that integrates yarn with metal chains. The etymology of Haus Nuller engages with the legacy of the Bauhaus, where weaving was historically associated with female practice, while the working of less ductile materials, such as metal, belonged to a male-dominated sphere. Collection N1 reconsiders this division by treating metal chains as threads, woven directly into the textile structure of the garments, dissolving the distinction between “soft”and “hard” materials, while simultaneously disrupting the logic of standardized industrial production chains. Each garment is programmed and woven directly on the loom in its final form. The process combines digital textile programming with hand-weaving. By integrating metal chains directly into the textile structure and departing from standardized industrial production, Collection N1 proposes a slower, more deliberate mode of making, in which construction, material, and form are resolved simultaneously

Collection N1 è una serie di opere tessili e capi di abbigliamento sviluppati attraverso un processo di tessitura sperimentale che integra filato e catene metalliche. L’etimologia di Haus Nuller si confronta con l’eredità del Bauhaus: storicamente la tessitura era associata alla pratica femminile, mentre la lavorazione di materiali meno duttili, come il metallo, apparteneva a quella maschile. Collection N1 riconsidera questa divisione trattando le catene metalliche come fili, intrecciati direttamente nella struttura tessile dei capi, superando la distinzione tra materiali “morbidi” e “rigidi” e, allo stesso tempo, mettendo in discussione la logica della catena di produzione industriale. Ogni capo è programmato e tessuto direttamente sul telaio nella sua forma finale. Il processo combina programmazione tessile digitale e lavorazione manuale. Integrando la catena direttamente nella struttura tessile e allontanandosi dai modelli produttivi industriali standardizzati, Collection N1 propone un sistema di produzione più lento e deliberato, in cui costruzione, materiale e forma si risolvono simultaneamente sul telaio.
